The ASH D169 is a multi-purpose one-tool that can meet all of your outdoor or wilderness demands. In a one-of-a-kind design, this full tang fixed blade combines a heavy-duty survival knife with a hatchet. This one is really gorgeous, and the Damascus steel adds to the attraction.We choose 15n20 to pair with 1095 for our Damascus steel, it makes up the bright layers in the pattern, as the nickel in the steel resists the ferric-chloride we use to etch blades. This blade sets between 55 -58 (HRC) on the Rockwell scale.
