The ASH D168 is a versatile one-tool that can handle all of your outdoor and wilderness needs. This full tang fixed blade combines a heavy-duty survival knife with a hatchet in a one-of-a-kind design. This one is very stunning, and the Damascus steel just adds to the allure. We choose 15n20 to pair with 1095 for our Damascus steel, it makes up the bright layers in the pattern, as the nickel in the steel resists the ferric-chloride we use to etch blades. This blade sets between 55 -58 (HRC) on the Rockwell scale.
